Headquarters

Previously, the station was housed in single bay building directly across from West street and owned by the Crandall family who operated the Ashaway Line and Twine Manufacturing Company.

Phase I of the station took place in the mid 1980s after the association received a donation of land from the Cottrell family. The land is adjacent to the Bethel Factory, known as the Thames River Tube Company. It was here at 72 High Street west of the Ashaway River where construction began.

Phase II was completed soon after, building restrictions dictated the style of the building because it was in a residential-zone, meaning it had to resemble a private-residence to fit the neighborhood.
